The £5 Lottery Club Terms and Conditions

  1. These Terms and Conditions are The £5 Lottery Club rules. By entering the lottery, entrants agree to be bound by these rules.
  2. This lottery is being promoted on behalf of Hope for a Child, 1 Pier Steps, St Peter Port, Guernsey.
  3. The Promoter is: Thomas Herring, c/o Hope for a Child, 1 Pier Steps, St Peter Port, Guernsey.
  4. This lottery is licensed by The Guernsey Home Department. Licence number 58/2020.
  5. To enter the lottery, entrants must be and aged 18 or over.
  6. To enter the lottery, entrants must have a Guernsey residential address.
  7. Any disputes between persons purchasing lottery numbers jointly will not be the responsibility of Hope for a Child or the Promoter.
  8. A draw is held every month, on the 23rd of the month.
  9. The total prize value is always a minimum of 20% of the total value of lottery numbers purchased that month. As a result the total prize value will increase as the number of lottery club members increases.
  10. The current prizes available to be won each month (except in May and November) are: £1,000, £200 (x2), £100 (x2), £50 (x10), £20 (x 60) & £10 (x 25). The total monthly prize value is £3,550.
  11. May and November are SUPERDRAW months. The top prize is £3,000, bringing the total prize value in each of those 2 months up to £5, 550.
  12. All prizes will be won by members every month.
  13. Random numbers are drawn using a random number generator, found at www.random.org.
  14. If a voided lottery number is drawn (a number that was held by a member who has cancelled their membership), a redraw will take place until a valid number is drawn.
  15. Lottery numbers are priced at £5 per month.
  16. Members may pay on a monthly or annual basis – £5 per lottery number per month, or £60 per lottery number per year.
  17. Lottery numbers can be paid for by standing order, or cheque or cash for annual payments. There is no restriction on the number of lottery numbers that can be purchased by any one individual.
  18. Members must sign up using either the online sign up form at www.lotteryclub.gg, or by using a £5 Lottery Club paper standing order form.
  19. If a monthly payment is not made by a member, the lottery number(s) held by that member will not be entered into the draw that month and following months in which payment failure occurs.
  20. All lottery entry sales are final and no refunds shall be made at any time. All members acknowledge that their payment of £5 per lottery number per month to enter the lottery does not guarantee that they will win any prize.
  21. A list of winning numbers will appear on the web page http://www.lotteryclub.gg/results/ each month, or are available by phoning Hope for a Child on 01481 727547.
  22. Hope for a Child reserves the right to change the date of the draw if required. If this occurs, the new date will be published on the web page www.lotteryclub.gg.
  23. Cash prizes will be made by cheque in the name of the member only.
  24. All members are solely responsible for providing Hope for a Child with accurate and up-to-date contact details. Hope for a Child will be in no way liable for any failure or inability to contact any member due to any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the contact details that the member has provided. In the event that a lottery number holder changes their contact details, they will be solely responsible for advising Hope for a Child of the change.
  25. Hope for a Child will make its best effort to contact prize winners using the contact details provided. Any prize not claimed after 3 months from the date of the draw will automatically revert to Hope for a Child.
  26. Hope for a Child shall not be liable to lottery club members for any loss or damage suffered or arising from:
  27. Any delays or failures in the postal service or other delivery methods used by Hope for a Child.
  28. Any delays or failures in any software or other systems used by Hope for a Child for the administration of the lottery.
  29. Any delays or failures in the banking system used by Hope for a Child, or the lottery number holder.
  30. Any event beyond the reasonable control of Hope for a Child.
  31. Hope for a Child is committed to protecting members’ privacy. Data collected from members is used solely for the purpose of processing lottery chances and informing winners if they have won a prize or their payment has not been received. Members may opt in to receive other promotional emails. Members can opt out of receiving these emails by emailing office@hope.gg at any time, or by clicking ‘unsubscribe’ on any promotional email received.
  32. Hope for a Child will not sell, rent or grant access to any personal data to any third party.
  33. Any member has the right to access the information held about them. To obtain this information, please contact Hope for a Child by emailing office@hope.gg, or calling 01481 727547.In the event of circumstances outside of these rules requiring clarification, Hope for a Child will be the sole arbiters of that issue.
